Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. (This truth should be our disposition to ANY evil report of another person created in God’s image, especially if it is a Christian. This doesn’t mean we should be foolishly blind. We can still hear messengers but our duty is to be grieved and hoping the case is opposite to an evil report. Remember…innocent until PROVEN guilty…that is what DUE PROCESS is all about. If there is plenty of gossip and slander intended to destroy and not restore, how should we be when we hear negative reports of another fellow member of WE THE PEOPLE. We live in a day wherein elites and corrupt governments are intentionally devising plots to divide WE THE PEOPLE.

WARNING

The grapevine is TAINTED. It is polluted. It is being used by Satan to kill. Enemies…tares…false brethren taint the Church…so BEWARE.

Consider the proper goal. Love compels us to restoration (2 Cor 2:6,7). But intel gossip does not lead to 2 Cor 6:7. There is soooo much cutting off brothers from one another in this low day of the Church. And it is often a cutting off without TEARS! We suffer a plague of uncovering sin, rather than covering it. This is devilish. Satan is the accuser of the brethren.

The problems I see with executive branch intel coming into the Church is…

• Leaked intel is something that should have been kept private. The source has to remain hidden. Why does the source have to remain hidden? There is this right WE THE PEOPLE have. It’s called privacy. Read the 4th Amendment. From this right stems things like the Privacy of Information Acts.
• When the intel community shares with people outside of that community, it’s the same as giving the dog a bone. That is, it is used to train people. You will get special benefits if you play the game of the Intel Leakers. You feel privileged. I do not doubt various Christians even feel blessed by God to be given intel from the executive branch. But much of what is divulged, as I sense, is only gossip and slander. If I came up to you and told you that your pastor was having an affair with your wife, what would you do? Would you keep it to yourself, or would you investigate? More importantly, would you do something about it if you discovered it was true? Perhaps that is too extreme of an example. What if someone told you that brother so and so robbed a bank last week? Would you investigate that? Or would you remain silent about it AND AVOID THE PARTICULAR CHRISTIAN, because it was ‘privy’ intel? The end result of avoiding the alleged thief is he becomes isolated. Why? What if the Intel was really just slander? Also, the 1 Cor 5 brother was confronted. He wasn’t isolated for being poor, or for being a certain race, or for being poor. He was well aware of his offence. So was the church. It was public knowledge.
• The intel community is mixed with all sorts of people who have no moral compass. It makes me think of the corruption in the CIA and the FBI. Can you imagine in WWII that once the American navy cracked the Japanese code, a double agent leaked that America cracked the Japanese code …to the Japanese? I imagine the Japanese would then USE their cracked code to lead the Americans on a wild goose chase. In the same way, the present intel community, mixed with domestic enemies of the nation, wages a war to divide and concur WE THE PEOPLE. They will never admit to being enemies of the nation.
